Since Elias and I organized the workshop on this topic, I have a lot to say about evaluation. While reading all of these texts, there were a lot of questions going through my mind. One being, why do we even evaluate and what do we want to evaluate?
Per definition, evaluation means using research methods to assess a program’s design, implementation or outcome. During our IAD process module, we had to evaluate a lot and we also asked ourselves, wether evaluation is necessary or will give us some sort of meaningful outcome.
The topic that stood out the most to me, while reading these texts, was about how some evaluations can come out biased.
